The South Carolina Mortgage Brokers Association is a not-for-profit organization committed to promoting the highest degree of professionalism for its members and providing ethical and professional standards against which mortgage brokers can be measured.

By using a member of the SCMBA, you will be using a broker whose mission is to raise to a higher level the quality and quantity of service that is delivered to you as a consumer. They continually strive to improve the professional image of the association and industry within the wider financial community.

When combined with our code of ethics and best business practices, a SCMBA mortgage broker or originator is your guarantee that you are dealing with a recognized expert in the mortgage origination field.

The South Carolina Mortgage Brokers Association is the voice of the mortgage broker industry in South Carolina. Two out of every three residential loans in the United States are originated by Mortgage Brokers. Members of the SCMBA  strive to raise the quality and quantity of their service to the marketplace.

The SCMBA is the state affiliate of the National Association of Mortgage Brokers (NAMB). NAMB is the only national trade association exclusively representing the mortgage brokerage industry. With 48 state affiliates and over 24,000 members, NAMB represents the industry through programs and services such as education, certification and government affairs representation. NAMB members subscribe to a code of ethics that fosters integrity, professionalism and confidentiality.
