                         Continuing Education Requirements

Brokers:

South Carolina Mortgage Brokers are required to take 8 hours of continuing education per year.  All course work must be completed prior to September 30.  A mortgage broker may carry up to 8 hours of CE credit from one year to the next.

Originators:

South Carolina Originators are required to take 8 hours of continuing education per year.  All course work must be completed prior to April 1.  An originator may carry up to 8 hours of CE credit from one year to the next.

Approved Providers:

All SCMBA-sponsored courses are approved for CE credit through the SC Department of Consumer Affairs. For more information about licensing requirements, please go to "Related Links".
